Bedroom Furniture Buying Guide

If you want to turn your bedroom into the perfect place to unwind after a hard days work then choosing the right furniture is essential. Before picking furniture, it’s important to decide on neutral colours for the  walls, carpet and curtains that will allow the natural wood tones to blend in.

If you are looking at a light wood such as pine, or light oak you will probably be best off selecting light colours such as cream and ochre for your walls and whites for your curtains. If you want to add extra light in then net curtains present a great option.

Alternatively you may want to add some depth to the room by using dark wood furniture such as mango, oak or walnut. Mahogony is also an option for dark woods but very expensive so if you want to make sure your bedroom furniture can match without breaking the bank then it’s probably best to avoid.

The best option is to kit your room out with furniture items from a matching range as the maufacturers will have kept certain features consistent.
